What Does this stool Test Result Mean?

Hello doctor, My son is 3 months old and his stool color is green. he passes stool 8 -10 times a day. Stool test report says pus cells 14-15/ hpf , obt - weakly present, mucous present and Reducing substance - present, vege cells - 2-3/hpf. He was on complete breast feed. I want to know is the condition too severe? medicines are going on from past 3 days and the color of stool has not changed. should I give him dexolac?

Hello

Pus cells in stool indicate infection of intestine(colitis).
Culture of stool should be done so that proper antibiotics can be prescribed.
He should be given adequate fluid to prevent dehydration.
It is not a serious condition.He will be well after taking antibiotics.
He should be given mother's milk only.It is better to avoid dexolac.
